Nepal
Whether it conjures mythical notions such as Shambhala or Shangri-La or simply brings to mind Bob Seeger’s “Kathmandu,” Nepal connotes colorful images of escape and refuge from the ordinary world. It is fitting, then, that this is the only Séan Alonzo Harris series that is in color. Of course, the Nepal that Harris portrays is not simply the exotic dream of popular imagination. As in all of his work, it is sensitively portrayed; it is human.
