Light lives outside of time, but, through a photographer’s lens, it is captured, fixed both in space and time; its impermanent effects imprinted into an exact present. Curated by Bruce Brown, Light and Lens features the photography of Don Peterson, Caroline Savage, and John Tiedje. From Tiedje capturing its movement to Savage using it to fix her images in an inky firmament to Peterson’s play with form and shadow, light is the star of the show. Through their lenses, these photographers embrace light, creating indelible images from ephemeral moments.
