About The Show

Only in forms things become visible. In concrete forms an idea, an event, a memory can be seen and explored.

The paintings in this exhibition are about concrete forms in space. These are explorations of the apparent stillness of shapes, the harmony and tension within the forms. The considered placements of the forms on the pictorial plane indicate movement and balance.

I work with a predetermined palette and strive to reduce the composition to its most minimal state.

Lately, the concept of distance and its measurement became pervasive and urgent. Distances grew not only between physical things but also in our thoughts, concepts and feelings.

The heavy cloud of uncertainty, the arbitrariness of facts surrounding us, increases the relevance of concrete matters. This body of work reflects the serenity of nature and the strength of human resilience, minimal and concrete.
