About The Show

Everyone likes birds. What wild creature is more accessible to our eyes and ears, as close to us and everyone in the world, as universal as a bird? - David Attenborough

Curated by Bruce Brown, our exhibition Birds celebrates these ubiquitous and beautiful creatures.  Featuring nineteen Maine photographers, the exhibition explores birds both in natural habitats and in manmade environments - from penguins in Antarctica to a gaggle of geese wandering in front of a plastic pink flamingo.  With over fifty photographs in the show, the exhibition captures the wide and wonderful variety of birds that grace our skies.
