Kyle b. co.
Kyle b. co. (they/them/y’all) is a trans-disciplinary artist, performer, educator and baker. Their work explores collage making through practices of printmaking, sculpture, installation, poetry, dance and set design. In their work they seek to congeal transient realities, to envision quantum positions especially as they relate to Black and queer histories of survival and existence.
As a Black, plural, crip, gender non-conforming person they seek to destroy binary constructions of being. Ever concerned with the politics and poetics of translation, multiplicity, and subjectivity co. creates constellations of history and material organized for their metaphorical grounding of lived experiences.
They received their MFA in visual arts from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. Their work has found kinship at Hera Gallery (South Kingstown, RI), The R.I.S.D. Museum of Art (Providence, RI), Buoy Gallery (Kittery, ME), Zimmerli Museum of Art (New Brunswick, NJ), and Lucas, Lucas (Brooklyn, NY) among other spaces.
